KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON
Could this vintage British saying - which had a resurge in popularity recently - actually be a winning formula?
The motivational poster produced by the British government in preparation for World War II, was intended to raise the morale of the British public, threatened with mass air attacks.
Somehow it DID help, eliciting a deeper level of perseverance in its people.
James 1:4 says, "Let perseverance finish its work IN you so that you may be mature, lacking nothing".
There IS something about perseverance that produces a richer beauty in life, and in us.
It may feel severe at the time (even the word 'perSEVERance' includes it) but pushing through pain and frustration in marriage, friendships, exercise, gardening, or even learning to communicate with a teenager often reveals a myriad of rewards and blessings on the other side of the awkward.
Could it be that God has something beautiful planned for you that requires a little perseverance on your part?
Ask Him, you may just find that the thing you are waiting for is actually waiting for you.
