NEVER ENOUGH OR ENOUGH TO SHARE?
Do you live in a state of 'plenty' or 'lack'?
Are you grateful for what you have or worried about when it may run out?
It's easy to slip down to an anxious thought. I was taunted with that fear last week and then I felt God say, "Haven't I always provided for you? Why worry about what you think I may not provide in the future, when you have everything you need right now? Trust me."
James 1:17 says, "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like the shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth THROUGH the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all He created."
Everything we have is a gift from God.
His abundance is unending and He loves to coat his children with blessings.
What's your response?
Are you basking in the Father's goodness and kindness, well aware that it's He who blesses you and willing to let that unearned merit, blessings, and favor flow through you to others in need?
Or do you unconsciously clutch each one in white-knuckled determination that comes from assuming we made it happen all by ourselves?
It's easy to do.
We forget how God's hand is on our every moment, we minimize that our skills and talents are of His crafting, and in doing so we lose the DOUBLE GIFT he has for us....
...Not just receiving His blessings, but paying it forward and blessing another.
Whether you think you 'have' or 'have not', there is something God has blessed you with, perhaps it's time to share...
It may be the warm smile you received today from a stranger, a courtesy in traffic, a friend buying you coffee, or even deep grace in a difficult situation where you really didn't deserve it.
We can all choose to pay it forward and bless another - and, in doing so you release the DOUBLE GIFT of being a giver, as well as a receiver.
So much better!
