THE END OF YOURSELF = A PERFECT BEGINNING
Could 'getting to the end of yourself', be the best place to be?
That moment of defeat, when you've got nothing left in your fix-it-shelf and all you can do is whisper, 'Jesus, please take over'.... ~ Theologian, Oswald Chambers, wrote of this moment with urgency, "Get to the end of yourself, where you can do nothing, but where He does everything!" ~ In that sweet moment of surrender, as we release our white-knuckle grip on the outcome, possibilities bloom as our God - who is able to do exceedingly, immeasurably and abundantly more than we can ever imagine - is at work, in and through our circumstances. ~ So, how can you get to the end of yourself this week? ~ IDEA: In those moments of wondering if you can make it... rather than: ° • Letting discouragement crush you or • Patching away the emotion with distractions ~ Take that feeling of weakness and share it openly with your God. Confessing your need and filling it with Jesus' strength. Not expecting to be enough on our own, and grateful for the reminder that 'He is greater than I'. ~ 'Jesus, we need you. In each and every moment. Help us sense, so clearly this week, our deep can't-survive-without-you reliance, so that we come to you sooner for help. YOU are all we truly need. Amen' ~ Ephesians 3:20 ~
