Have you ever noticed how much your mind attempts time travel each day? ~ Rather the being present: lstening to God's whispers in each moment and seeing His blessings (people, situations, things) surrounding us... we spend much time worrying about the future or lamenting the past. ~ Our mind plays over conversations that went wrong, imagines different decisions made, getting our thoughts all knotted up in tangles and tricking us into thinking we can fix it all with more worrying & planning. ~ All the while, God is right beside you. Gently, sweetly waiting for you to run out of self-help and turn to God-help. ~ If only we can set down our concerns, our guilts, and frustrations and turn our minds over to a new line of questioning. ~ Instead of, "Why did I...?", "How can I...?", be brave enough to utter, "God will you...?" ~ Will you: take up residence in my heart, push out all of my anxieties and replace them with your peace. ~ God, will you: open my eyes to what you want me from now, in this moment. ~ Will you: break my heart, for what breaks yours? Help me see the hurting around me, and give me the courage to minister to others. ~ Will you: reveal your will to me? I don't want to waste a moment stepping in the wrong direction. I'm your's. Make a Holy experiment out of me! ~ Each day, rewiring your mind to turn to Him for answers, the Master Designer in control of it all, rather than rehashing the past and trying to control the future. ~ 1 Peter 5:6-7 "If you bow low in God’s awesome presence, he will eventually exalt you as you leave the timing in his hands. Pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for he always tenderly cares for you". ~
