WHAT HAS MASTERED YOU?

There's a business trick used frequently to determine what matters to someone you don't know. ~ A quick glance in their office or on their social media should give all the hints you need. What do they spend their money on and time doing? ~ This is helpful gauge but the Bible takes it one step further to reveal that people are slaves to whatever has mastered them. 2 Peter 2:19. ~ What does that mean? ~ Simply put, what starts out as fun, often becomes the thing that keeps us stuck. ~ The world will say that freedom is doing anything you want. But, as I discovered personally, doing whatever you desire leads, eventually, to what holds you captive. ~ It's a great practice to take a periodical stocktake of your drives and desires to see if they are serving you or have begun to enslave you. ~ Will you be brave this week? ~ Ask God to reveal to you what is spiritually profitable and what is spiritual pollution. Allowing Him to rinse away the dirt and reveal the gold hidden beneath.
