WHO ARE YOU?
Ever been on vacation - and been someone else, while you're somewhere else?
The change of location clicks in changes in you, new habits, new rythyms - it can leave you wondering who you are, underneath it all.
After a week with family in Australia, it was easy to see myself living there with them - all the Aussie traits came back fast and I felt Australian again.
Now, first day back in USA: my home for 7 years, I am in my alternate identity: with a home in Newport Beach, friends I love, and a home-church that nourishes me.
So, who am I?
I am both. And I am neither.
The struggle to 'find ourselves' is a modern distraction from the truth that remains for all eternity. Through all of life's seasons, every up and every down: I am, and YOU are, a CHILD OF GOD.
That, is all that really matters.
So today, I hold on to the fact that is unchangeable: God made me, speaks to me, guides me, and loves me. What could be better than that?
Hold firm to your true-identity;
A child of God, here to worship, serve others, love and be loved, until we meet our Heavenly Father again. The deepest comfort of all. ~ Galatians 4:7 ~
